Dr. Denise Vanacore is the Vice Dean and Professor at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to her academic position, she is also the Director of Hope Springs Health, providing integrated primary care and psychiatric mental health care, including medication-assisted treatment for addiction using Suboxone.
Dr. Vanacore holds certifications as an Adult, Family, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and brings expertise in many clinical aspects, including diagnosing and treating primary care and mental health disorders and measurement-based care. She has been a nurse practitioner for nearly 30 years.
In addition, she works at Quality Insights as a Clinician Champion for the Opioid Epidemic, presenting evidence-based opioid prescribing and management programs for health professionals in Pennsylvania. She has presented in excess of 150 educational sessions regarding evidence based opioid prescribing.
Dr. Vanacore is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing and recent past president, American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Society of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
